Practical Enhancements to CompuTec ProcessForce’s Quality Control Test Pools

Regular readers of this blog will remember that we introduced several new Quality Control functionalities to CompuTec ProcessForce earlier this year and in our latest version of Computec ProcessForce, 9.3 PL08, we have followed on from that and added a couple of small, but useful enhancements to Quality Control Test Pools.

Quality Control Test Pools are groups of Quality Control tests intended to be used when you have to test one batch of inventory several times for example if you receive a large container of grain and you need to test a number of samples e.g. from the bottom, middle and top of the container, to be sure that the shipment is quality control compliant. Quality Control Test Pools in CompuTec ProcessForce give you the option of managing each group of such tests as a whole. You can find out more about them by reading our previous blog post.

Our first new enhancement to Quality Control Test Pools is that, in order to provide a link to a comprehensive list of information about the batch to which the Quality Control Test Pool is related, we have added the Quality Control Pool Batch Report. You can find it simply by right-clicking on the Quality Control Test Pool form.

The user will instantly be able to check information about the batch such as Batch Number, Quality Control Status, Batch Status, Warehouse, Quantity, Revision and so on.

Secondly, we have added some new system alerts to make our Quality Control test Pools a bit more user-friendly and to help users avoid mistakes.

Upon trying to assign the Quality Control Test Pool a “closed” status, users will now be notified of the following inconsistencies.

1. When Quality Control Tests within the Quality Control Test Pool are still open.

2. When the number of test passes is less than the minimum number of tests you require to be passed.

3. When the number of test fails exceeds the maximum number of test fails you have defined.

4. When the Quality Control Test status is undefined.
